Scope before sales
Know what you are buying.
Operators and founders whose Bolt.new, Cursor, or AI-generated web app is blocked by auth loops, broken migrations, or client-exposed secrets.
Not a fit: Throwaway prototypes that will never serve real customers or store business records.
- What does this first release include?
- Stabilizing and hardening an AI-generated codebase by fixing server boundaries, database schemas, authentication state, and deployment configuration. Deliverables: Architectural diagnosis of broken flows and security gaps; Server-side refactoring of exposed client queries; Stabilized database migrations and session handling; Verified production deployment with clean environment config.
- When should we use existing software instead?
- Keep using the AI builder directly if the app is a single-user internal experiment with no sensitive data or customer-facing uptime needs.
- What determines the project price?
- Starting project price: $997 for a focused workflow rescue; $1,997 for full-stack refactoring. Severity of schema drift, number of broken endpoints, auth provider migration, third-party API repair, and test coverage. Final scope and price must be approved before implementation.
- What data and permissions are required?
- Provide repository access, current environment variable inventory, database access, and a prioritized list of the user journeys that must work at launch.
- What can this service not promise?
- Severely tangled prototype codebases may require extracting the UI into a clean Next.js foundation rather than patching broken client-side architecture in place.
- Who owns the site and maintains it?
- Confirm source-code and design rights, third-party licenses, repository access, credentials, deployment, and handoff in the agreement. Use business-owned domain and vendor accounts where possible. Hosting, domains, paid tools, content changes, and ongoing support are separate responsibilities and recurring costs; no unlimited maintenance is implied.
Replacing an existing site or workflow?
Inventory current URLs, content rights, form destinations, vendor access, and data export options before choosing a redesign or migration. Agree the redirects, backup, validation, launch, and rollback plan first. No third-party platform support or data transfer is assumed until its access and export capabilities are reviewed.
